This Privacy Policy explains how Intellastar (“Intellastar,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information you provide through the Energy Analyst savings estimator (the “Tool”). It applies to the Tool only.
Information we collect
Information you provide. Your contact details (name, work email, company, and optional phone number) and the building and energy details you enter, such as annual electricity use, peak demand, ZIP code, building type, on-site energy resources, load-profile adjustments, and any interval meter data you choose to upload.
Information collected automatically. Limited technical information, such as your IP address, used to operate and secure the Tool and to prevent abuse. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
How we use your information
- Prepare your savings report and email you a link to view it.
- Follow up with you about Energy Analyst and Intellastar, if you asked us to or expressed interest.
- Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Tool.
How we share your information
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Tool (for example, cloud hosting and email delivery) under confidentiality obligations, and with Intellastar personnel who follow up with you. We do not share your information with the utilities, ISOs/RTOs, or program administrators referenced in your report, and we disclose information when required by law.
Data retention
Report links expire 30 days after they are issued. We retain the contact and building information you submit so we can follow up and for our records, until you ask us to delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can opt out of follow-up at any time, and you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing info@intellastar.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport, hashing of report-link tokens, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Tool is intended for business use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
